The original Base Camp team have completed their assignments and a new team is coming in for this new phase, but I would like to say a special thanks to those who helped us ‘pioneer’ this endeavor and get things started on the ground for our ‘long haul’ effort in Haiti. Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Chapel, Scottsdale, AZ, did a great job with communications & logistics as she helped get our blog and website going (Foursquarehaiti.org), established a case management database for displaced families, and gave us an amazing photo & video gallery with her exceptional skills as a photographer. Special thanks to you Elizabeth for a job well done. Donna McDonald, Grace North, Anthem, AZ, came as our lead nurse, and with the help of Perla Diaz from Chile, and Luana from Brazil, got our Medical Clinic started for the church and refugee camps near us. She also opened the doors with ‘Amer Haiti’, a field hospital where she worked tirelessly to make a way for Foursquare Medical teams to come and minister to so many who desperately need medical care. Along with her medical duties, we always knew where Donna would spend her morning hours, out on the balcony interceding for the Base Camp team and for the nation of Haiti. Thank you Donna, only God knows the change you effected through your prayers and compassion, but we know what it meant to have you with us, and again, we thank you. Chad will return this week to resume the work and Debbie & I will follow soon, as we enter this new season in Haiti, praying for God to pour out His Spirit on this broken land to bring renewal and healing. I ask you to join us as we step it up a notch in our prayers, asking for God’s power and provision to be manifest, in our giving, as we increase our efforts to touch the lives of thousands, and in our going, as we go or send laborers ‘for such a time as this’. Our thanks and prayers are for each of you as you join us in this time of harvest in Haiti.
